PART TIME - Behavioral Staff , Murrieta

A "Behavioral Staff - is responsible for actively supporting individuals with behavioral needs within a community-based day program, focusing on implementing behavior management strategies, teaching life skills, promoting independence, engaging and ensuring a safe and positive environment, working closely with consumers, families, and team to enhance the quality of life and personal growth of each induvial. We are looking for individuals that can work a Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 2 pm shift. In the city of Murrieta. If need to use own vehicle you will need to provide proof of Insurance and a Valid California Drivers License . Mileage will be paid if you use your own vehicle. The skills and qualifications for this position include but not limited to: 1. Desire to help Adults who are learning challenged with encouragement, respect, and overall engagement with them on a one-to-one basis. On-the-job training on the duties will be provided. 2. Great communication skills to understand the limitations of certain individuals and creative ways to work with them. 3. Previous experience working or interacting with adults with learning challenges which could be family member experience as well. 4. Assist consumers with daily activities, including personal care, and recreational activities. 5. participate in ongoing training and professional development related to behavioral management, and crisis interventions Must have a valid California Drivers License in good standing. Able to have a clear criminal background and drug screen in accordance with California Employment Law. Must be over 21 years old and able to get a CPR/First Aid Cert, and TB clearance.
