Santa Barbara Memory Care is hiring part time weekend Caregivers or Med Techs. Memory Care Community located in Santa Barbara! santabarbaramemorycare.com Full Time Caregivers/Med Tech at Memory Care Community (Details Below)
Caregivers/Med Tech Pay:
$17.50-$19.00 hourly (depending on experience) NOC shifts available 10pm-6:30am range. Weekend NOC shift. Must clear FBI and DOJ Clearance, interested in a rewarding career.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Med Tech or Caregiver you will be required to assist residents with daily living needs, which include but are not limited to the following: To assist with light housekeeping in the Resident's rooms, bathrooms as well as community common areas. Assisting residents with everyday grooming, hygiene, bathing, helping in & out of bed. Assist residents who have been incontinent of both bowel & bladder, including making sure they are clean & placing them in fresh clothing, as well as washing the soiled garments immediately, & cleaning the surrounding area(s). Answer community business phones. Intervening in unsafe or inadequate care and reporting same to Care Coordinator or Supervisor on-duty. As well as watching and reporting evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment, or neglect as outlined in Personnel Policies. You will be required to keep records and chart on all residents who have been provided care. Provide safe transfers, positioning and turning of Residents using effective body mechanics. Observes and reports resident physical and emotional condition changes to the Care Coordinator. Demonstrating good practice of infectious control. Supporting Resident's Rights by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of Residents. Be available to answer questions by family members.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
Due to our Licensing we are required to have a clear LiveScan clean of convictions or active arrests for all of our employees in order to be hired. The LiveScan is required when applicants are candidates for positions that place them in a position of trust for some of California's most vulnerable citizens, including elderly and dependent adults and children, it is vital for the licensing authority to be aware of convictions or active arrests to avoid exposing clients in care to unnecessary harm. We will pay for this and help you set up the appointment. If you have had a LiveScan in the past 2 years please let us know. Must have a TB test and we ask that you get a flu shot. Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days after employment. This certification must verify that the Caregiver has no communicable diseases, open lesions, or any other health problem, which could interfere with the individual's job performance Must have current Adult First Aid card at the time of employment and maintain throughout the length of employment. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age. Shall have a high school diploma or equivalent. Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English Possesses clear verbal and written communication skills. Positive and energetic attitude. Professional in appearance and conduct. Must have dependable transportation and be able to work varying hours as needed, nights, holidays, and weekends. This job may require the employee to lift in excess of 25 pounds on occasion, which is a qualification for this position. It may also require the mandatory use of a gait belt and the wearing of a back brace for more difficult residents. You will be expected to report to work on time or give the Care Coordinator or Administrator adequate notice if you are unable to show for work: at least four (4) hours' notice.
