This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of an elderly person by supporting their daily activities, managing their needs, and creating a secure environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and dedicated to delivering high-quality care in a respectful and nurturing manner. This is a night shift 10pm-6am Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity. Monitor the resident's vital signs and overall health status throughout the night, reporting any concerns promptly. Provide medication administration support following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring accuracy and safety. Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed to maintain proper nutrition. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to document care activities, observations, and any incidents accurately. Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and comfortable by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and organizing living areas. Respond promptly to the resident's needs during the night, including assisting with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts if necessary. Implement behavior management strategies for residents with dementia or memory care needs while maintaining a calm and supportive presence. Support residents with disabilities or developmental disabilities through personalized care plans and compassionate support. Maintain open communication with family members, healthcare providers, and team members to ensure comprehensive care. Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care best practices is advantageous. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is beneficial. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and long-term care procedures is essential. Previous caregiving roles involving personal care home or group home environments are a plus. Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation is desirable. Valid certifications such as First Aid are preferred; CPR certification is a plus. Experience with Hoyer lifts, mobility assistance devices, and safe transfer techniques is advantageous.
