Job Description

Job Summary The Direct Service Provider plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other related conditions. This position involves working one-on-one with clients to provide support which allows them to live in their own home. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, respectful, tolerant, a strong communicator, reliable, can adhere to professional requirements, and can take the initiative to do what is needed without being directed. Responsibilities One-on-one support for clients with developmental disability. Meal preparation. Medication assistance. Diabetic assistance. Light housekeeping. Companionship, including engaging with the client regarding their interests. Assistance with making and transportation to/from medical appointments. Documentation of daily activities and medications administered. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Previous experience in patient care, adult care, and/or senior care settings is an advantage. Strong communication skills. Conflict management skills to navigate challenging situations effectively. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Relevant certifications or training in case management or caregiving are beneficial but not required. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
