In this role, you will provide essential support in assisted living, memory care, hospice, and other senior care settings, ensuring residents receive respectful, personalized assistance. Your proactive approach and clinical knowledge will help promote health, safety, and well-being while fostering a warm and supportive environment for those you serve. This position offers flexible scheduling options to fit your lifestyle while allowing you to develop valuable skills in medical documentation, patient care, and working with individuals with disabilities. Cleaning and Sanitizing Responsibilities Administer medications and assist with medication management following prescribed protocols, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Provide personal care assistance including hygiene, mobility support, feeding (including tube feeding), catheter care, and vital signs monitoring. Support residents with activities of daily living in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings while maintaining dignity and respect. Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring detailed medical records are maintained. Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care and hospice support, adapting approaches to meet individual needs. Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor physiological functions and report any concerns related to anatomy or physiology knowledge. Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures to ensure a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and medical documentation practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities-related caregiving is a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner enhances efficiency in documentation and patient record management. Background in acute or chronic care settings that involve Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care or hospice services is advantageous. Strong understanding of vital signs measurement, anatomy, physiology, catheter care, tube feeding techniques, and medication protocols is essential. Certification as a QMAP (Qualified Medication Assistance Professional) is required; additional certifications in caregiving or nursing are beneficial.
