Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and organized Caregiver / Client Support Specialist to provide weekly support and oversight for clients in residential and community settings. The ideal candidate will ensure clients' health, safety, and daily support needs are met while maintaining compliance with all required documentation, residential monitoring, medication management, and safety procedures. This position requires strong communication, time management, and caregiving skills. Duties Visit assigned clients on a weekly basis Assist clients with errands, shopping, and community activities Transport and accompany clients to doctor appointments and other scheduled visits Provide direct caregiving support and assistance with daily living activities Perform medication counts and monitor medication compliance Complete and maintain all required weekly and monthly documentation Ensure monthly fire drills are completed and properly documented Conduct quarterly residential monitoring reviews Observe and report changes in client behavior, health, or living conditions Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for clients Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, guardians, and healthcare providers Follow company policies, procedures, and state regulations Perform additional caregiving and support duties as assigned Responsibilities Ensure clients receive consistent weekly support and supervision Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all assigned clients Monitor client safety, well-being, and compliance with care plans Ensure all fire drills, medication counts, and residential monitoring tasks are completed on schedule Support clients in maintaining independence and participating in community activities Provide transportation and advocacy during appointments and outings Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Work collaboratively with team members and outside providers to ensure quality care Identify concerns or issues and report them promptly to management Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all clients Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous caregiving, direct support, or healthcare experience preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to pass background checks and required screenings Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Compassionate, patient, reliable, and professional demeanor Basic computer and documentation skills preferred CPR/First Aid & QMAP certification preferred or willingness to obtain
