This role is vital in assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting well-being for residents or clients. As a Non-Skilled Caregiver, you will work closely with healthcare professionals and family members to deliver personalized care that enhances quality of life. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while gaining valuable experience in the caregiving field. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing and reporting changes in condition, vital signs, and behavior Support meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces Help with medication reminders and basic medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care is highly desirable Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications like HIPAA compliance are a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely while maintaining proper body mechanics Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other disabilities is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and families Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join us in creating a caring environment where every individual receives respectful, attentive support.
