Job Description

Non-medical Caregiver Non-medical caregivers provide essential support to loved ones who may be elderly, disabled, or facing health challenges. Their role encompasses a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the well-being and comfort of the individual receiving care. Key Duties and Responsibilities Personal Care Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort. Monitor and manage personal hygiene to maintain health. Household Management Prepare nutritious meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry. Manage grocery shopping and other errands. Medical Support Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects. Keep track of medical appointments and communicate with healthcare providers. Maintain accurate health records and documentation. Emotional and Social Support Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities to reduce feelings of isolation. Offer emotional support through conversation and active listening. Encourage participation in social activities to promote mental well-being. Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in caregiving or healthcare is beneficial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and their families. Physical stamina to assist with mobility and other physical tasks. Basic understanding of healthcare practices, including hygiene and infection control. Non-medical caregivers play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those they care for, often balancing multiple responsibilities while providing compassionate support.
