DIRECT SUPPORT PROVIDER - ADULT CARE SERVICES

The Adult Care Services program provides temporary respite care for adults with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities at our respite house in Fort Collins. Direct Support Providers have the rewarding opportunity to work with and support adults with activities of daily living, social and recreational activities. Must be able to attend training courses and meetings at the main facility. Required availability for shifts include evenings, weekends, and overnights. Some intermittent schedule availabilities may be required. This is a great opportunity to provide excellent and meaningful care and support to individuals with varying abilities and care needs and help make their time away from home a wonderful experience. Driving is a requirement for this position . Duties/Responsibilities Ensure positive, safe environment for individuals receiving services. Complete daily household chores to ensure a clean and safe living environment. Monitor the health and safety of individuals. Assist individuals with medication as need indicates. Assist, support, promote, and train individuals with independent life skills and a person-centered approach. Assist individuals with personal care/hygiene when needed. Manage crisis intervention as necessary (medical emergencies, behavioral situations, incident reports, etc.). Report all mistreatment, abuse, neglect, exploitation, other incidents and concerns to Program Director. Driving is a required function of this job and may include driving for community activities and other appointments. -2 Part-Time position available up to 29.75 hrs/wk., $18.75-$20.63/hr.
