Private Caregiver

We're looking for an outgoing care companion to join Team Casey! While Casey makes TBI (traumatic brain injury) & SCI (spinal cord injury) recovery progress & regains independence, we're looking for someone to provide companionship and help create joy - play boardgames or video games, spend active time outside, do speech & PT (physical therapy) home exercises, and give respite to his partner and primary caregiver, Dorothy. Casey is incredibly kind and considerate, strong, and hardworking. He has a drive for life that keeps pushing him past doctors' expectations. Casey is progressing from using two crutches to one crutch and getting back to programming iphone apps. He also has a major love of the outdoors and would like to get back to hiking and climbing outside. Brownie points if you can belay for climbing! Duties Mobility assistance Help staying physically active Meal prep Companionship Transportation to appointments Comfortable with pets Has a reliable car Responsibilities Support medication management as directed by healthcare providers Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to at all times Coordinate with primary caregiver for appointments and therapy sessions Skills Proven experience in caregiving roles, especially within a home setting or similar environment Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care instructions while maintaining flexibility in dynamic situations

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
