In this vital role, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of life for those you serve. Your energetic approach and attentive nature will help create a warm, respectful environment where clients feel valued and cared for. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and support. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing and reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Administer medications following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized care plans and ensuring a safe environment Operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients, ensuring proper technique to prevent injury Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans that meet each client's unique needs Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in social activities to promote mental well-being Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or group home environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia is beneficial Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques; physical stamina is essential for supporting mobility needs Familiarity with medication administration procedures and understanding of care plans is desirable Excellent communication skills with a compassionate attitude toward clients of all ages and backgrounds Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for home & community care roles Join our team as a Personal Care Attendant where your dedication can truly transform lives!
