Our campus features separate residences for assisted living and memory care, with amenities designed to promote wellness, dignity, and independence for our residents. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate QMAP/Caregiver for morning shifts to join our team. This role is vital in delivering high-quality care to residents, supporting their daily needs, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals, with a strong understanding of medical procedures and documentation. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision or according to established protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments through compassionate engagement and tailored activities. Collaborate with nursing staff to report changes in resident condition and assist with medical procedures such as tube feeding or catheter care as trained. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Document all care activities thoroughly using medical terminology within electronic medical records systems like Epic or Cerner. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing skills such as medication administration and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic or Cerner is preferred. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals who have disabilities or cognitive impairments. Certification as a Qualified Medication Aide Program (QMAP) or similar credential is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA standards. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks safely while demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times.
