In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful lawns, landscapes, and hardscape features through skilled use of tools and equipment. Your work will directly enhance the aesthetic appeal and health of residential or commercial properties, providing clients with lush, well-manicured outdoor environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and outdoor construction while working in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. Responsibilities Perform lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing to ensure pristine grass areas. Use hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers to maintain landscapes. Assist with landscape installation projects including planting, shrubbery care, and garden bed preparation. Conduct tree care activities like pruning, trimming, and removal using appropriate tools and techniques. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary adjustments. Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for clients. Perform routine maintenance on equipment including sharpening blades, cleaning tools, and checking mechanical parts. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping machinery and power tools effectively. Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening environments. Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care best practices. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators for site preparation or hardscape installation. Familiarity with construction techniques related to hardscape features like patios or walkways. Skilled in tree care including trimming, pruning, and health assessment. Experience with irrigation systems setup and repair is a plus. Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently in various outdoor tasks. Good physical stamina for outdoor work in different weather conditions.
