Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Counselors to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide direct support to residents with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities. Your efforts will promote independence, safety, and well-being while fostering a nurturing environment that encourages growth and positive interactions. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately and monitor vital signs as part of routine health care. Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light cleaning and sanitation duties. Document resident progress using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. Drive residents to appointments or community activities, ensuring safe transportation practices. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable. Knowledge of long-term care practices, home & community care, or personal care home environments is advantageous. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and behavior management techniques is essential. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays in a respectful and supportive manner. Previous use of EMR systems for documentation and reporting purposes is a plus. Valid driver's license and safe driving record are preferred for transportation responsibilities.
