Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with medication administration following care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Support clients during outings or community activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times. Follow established care plans meticulously while documenting observations, progress notes, and any incidents or concerns. Qualifications Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, or nursing assistant credentials are advantageous. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder or in hospice care is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs. Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach toward clients' needs.
