Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide exceptional support to individuals with diverse needs in various care settings. This case is on Thursdays 10am-2pm. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence through personalized care plans. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. All work is paid, and this position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer techniques for residents with mobility challenges Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Document patient observations, care activities, and progress accurately in compliance with privacy regulations Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities Assist with community outings or activities to promote social engagement and well-being Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration required Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments highly desirable Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards essential Hands-on experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident transfer devices preferred Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism beneficial Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team necessary Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively required Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
