Job Description

Caregiver needed for elderly woman in Tolland CT, approximately 30 hours a week. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition, ensuring safety at all times Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or changes in condition Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Follow established care plans and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Uphold safety standards through proper lifting techniques, infection control practices, and adherence to protocols such as CPR and first aid procedures Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for community-based assignments Join us today to become part of a dedicated caregiving team that values your skills and passion!
