Direct Care Staff

Overview Torch Light Residential is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Direct Care Staff to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in community-based settings. This role focuses on promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring the health and safety of individuals served while supporting them in achieving their personal goals. Duties Provide direct support to individuals in a community settings Support individuals in accessing community resources, recreational activities, and social opportunities Implement Individual Plans (IPs) and support person-centered goals Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment at all times Accurately document services, progress notes, and any incidents in compliance with agency and state regulations Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, families, and guardians Respond appropriately to behavioral or medical needs, following established protocols Requirements Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is required Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities with patience and compassion. Experience operating Therap application for documentation purposes is desirable. Valid driver's license, insurance and registration for driving individuals when necessary for outings. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward individuals safety and well-being.
