This vital role involves offering personalized support, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for clients in a home setting. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be an integral part of enhancing quality of life through attentive, respectful, and professional care. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while making a positive impact on clients' well-being. Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patient condition through observation of vital signs, behavior, and overall health status, documenting changes accurately in medical records or electronic health record (EHR) systems Administer medications following prescribed schedules while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Support clients with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote health and well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing living spaces Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding patient progress, medical records, and updates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems Requirements Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, nursing home environments or long-term care settings Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to patient care including catheter care, medication administration, CPR certification, and vital signs monitoring Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia Strong observational skills for patient safety and condition monitoring; experience with patient observation is essential Ability to operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform tasks related to hospice or memory care needs Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and family members while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Flexibility to work in a live-in employment arrangement within the client's home environment Our team values energetic individuals who are motivated to provide compassionate care that truly makes a difference.
