Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. In this role, you will help enhance the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption while adhering to dietary restrictions Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Document patient observations, care activities, and incident reports accurately and promptly Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or hospice care is highly valued Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards required Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training in patient observation and vital signs monitoring is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans and administer medications accurately Join us in making a positive impact through compassionate caregiving!
