Job Description

Join a Mission-Driven Team Supporting Exceptionally Bright Young Minds Xavier House is a specialized foster care environment serving teenage girls whose behaviors and emotional complexity align with high intellectual potential. These are young women who haven't always been understood—but here, they find a place to belong, to be challenged, and to thrive. We are seeking a House Parent who is emotionally agile, intellectually curious, and deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of exceptional young people. This is a position for individuals with elite-level interpersonal skills, who can provide both structure and warmth in a family-style setting, and who can connect with strong, quick-witted personalities while remaining unshakably calm and kind. This is more than a caregiving role; it's an opportunity to model emotional intelligence, shape a healing environment, and contribute to the personal growth of some of the most fascinating young minds you'll ever meet.
Who You Are:
You are emotionally intelligent, able to regulate yourself under pressure, and committed to modeling that for others. You understand trauma-informed care—and you know how to meet young people "where they are." You are both nurturing and firm, compassionate and confident. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments with little downtime. You are energized by meaningful challenge and unafraid to be fully present with emotionally complex teenagers.
What You'll Do:
Live and work in a beautiful, family-style home 3 days per week, including 2 overnight shifts. Engage in physically active, outdoor recreation with teens. Support teens with schoolwork (including high school level coursework and college preparation). Model peaceful conflict resolution and co-regulation during moments of emotional intensity. Facilitate stimulating dinner table conversations, field trips, and experiential learning. Guide youth in building life skills: cooking, cleaning, time management, and emotional self-awareness. Bring creativity and structure into a space that demands both.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred , OR a minimum of 2 years of direct care experience with teens. Extensive knowledge of trauma-informed care and emotional regulation strategies. Valid driver's license with clean driving record . Able to pass a Level II Criminal Background Check . Physically able to participate in recreational activities and household tasks. Available to work two overnight shifts per week. Why Xavier House? Here, you'll join a team of thinkers and feelers—people who bring their full selves to the work of helping teen girls rediscover trust, purpose, and joy. You'll be surrounded by residents who will challenge you intellectually and emotionally, and who will reward your commitment with moments of genuine connection and growth. This role isn't for everyone. But if you believe that high intelligence demands equally high emotional presence—and you're ready to be part of something deeply meaningful— we'd love to hear from you.
