Job Description

Overview Private In-Home Care Giver, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals in their own homes. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of 2 elderly people by assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. As a caregiver, you will deliver personalized care tailored to each individual's needs, fostering a warm and trusting environment that enhances quality of life. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status to inform care plans Administer medications safely following HIPAA guidelines and prescribed schedules Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary requirements Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized techniques Utilize equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and heavy lifting when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping, cleaning duties, and ensuring infection control standards are met Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and vital signs measurement Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia enhances your ability to provide specialized care Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and assisting with mobility support Compassionate attitude with a commitment to respecting client dignity and promoting independence Join us in delivering heartfelt care that truly makes a difference!
