Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Aide, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home care settings. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure residents receive respectful, high-quality care that promotes their independence, safety, and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or those recovering from illness or injury. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by nursing staff Prepare nutritious meals and assist residents with meal consumption while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies Provide emotional support through active listening and engaging activities to promote mental well-being Collaborate with healthcare teams on patient observation, progress notes, and updating care plans as needed Assist with hospice or memory care needs for residents experiencing dementia or Alzheimer's disease Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home & community care settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring required Experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia care or working with people with developmental disabilities highly desirable Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medication administration procedures necessary Hands-on experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident's is a plus Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families and healthcare teams Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and maintain physical stamina throughout shifts Join us in delivering compassionate care that enriches lives!
