In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a nurturing environment. Your energy and empathy will help foster a positive community where residents feel valued and respected every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support ongoing health assessments. Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times. Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through specialized techniques like behavior management and engagement activities. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, maintaining dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including laundry and general cleaning tasks. Document care activities accurately using electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to ensure seamless communication among care team members. Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments with a strong understanding of senior care practices. Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general. Certification or training in first aid, medication administration, Hoyer lift operation, and emergency response procedures. Ability to work effectively with residents' families, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams to support holistic care. Excellent communication skills coupled with patience, compassion, and a positive attitude toward caregiving. Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion while maintaining professionalism at all times. Experience using EMR systems for documentation and familiarity with home & community care standards.
