Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to an elderly couple in a private home. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing memory loss or developmental challenges. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive attitude to ensure safety, comfort, and independence for the individuals they serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like wheelchair when necessary Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking to promote healthy living Administer medications following care plans and document all medication administration meticulously Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies, dementia care techniques, and Alzheimer's care protocols Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control standards in home or facility settings Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans that address individual needs and goals Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home environments, or group homes is preferred but not required Certification in First Aid and CPR is NOT required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are advantageous Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with physical limitations, dementia, or other special needs Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior promptly Ability to perform light lifting safely and operate assistive devices like w/c when necessary Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid background check clearance and willingness to adhere to all safety protocols Join us in providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives!
