This Performance Agreement is not intended as a legal obligation and is used as a supplement to the Tuscan Gardens Associate Handbook. The Cultural Expectancies are general throughout Tuscan Gardens and are included in every Performance Agreement as a standard expectancy. In addition, to specific expectations related to Associate's position, each Associate is also expected to be committed to whatever is needed to advance the Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values of Tuscan Gardens. The Associate should handle routine processes and deliverables in the normal course of the day, without reminders, supervision, or management. Tuscan Garden's intellectual capital should be directed towards extending and expanding our platform; it should not be directed towards accomplishing routine tasks that should be handled through the ongoing administration and maintenance of processes. Associates will possess a demeanor that exhibits personal responsibility for every aspect of Tuscan Gardens. The Associate will always conduct himself/herself in a professional manner, recognizing the trust inherent in the position. It is expected that the Associate will not act defensively or take communications personally. The Associate will accept personal responsibility for every outcome within the Company. The Associate will communicate openly and clearly within the department on any issues involved in the assigned work and when any deadlines/milestones are in jeopardy of not being met. No deadline may be missed by an Associate or changed unilaterally by an Associate without a prior communication, an agreement and with sufficient time for the Associate's immediate Manager to take alternate measures to make sure the deadline is otherwise satisfied or appropriately modified. In the absence of communication, it will be assumed all matters being managed, handled or driven by the Associate are being accomplished well and in accordance with the Associate's anticipated outcomes. The success of a program lies in the details. Tuscan Gardens is extremely competent at strategic management. On the other hand, successful results require successful execution. And successful execution depends upon respect for details at the smallest levels. Excellence in execution must be an intrinsic standard in order for Tuscan Gardens to prosper. The caregiver provides direct care to community residents following an individualized care plan, assists in maintaining a safe environment, and provides a universal approach to the community needs as directed. Professional Profile The Professional Profile is a representation of the skill sets, experience and background required by the position. The extent to which you exhibit the traits and abilities as determined by the position is a direct influence on your performance. Education Required (Preferred): High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required CPR and First Aid certification required Medication Technician (Med Tech) certificate (for Florida) preferred Years/months of Experience (Preferred): At least 2 years related experience, preferably in a senior living or equivalent industry preferred. One year of experience working as a Medication Assistant/CNA/PCA/RA, preferred. One year of experience working with Alzheimer's residents or other related dementia diseases, preferred. Has basic knowledge and understanding of dementia, mental illness and general medical problems encountered by the elderly. Knowledge/Skills:
Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the facility. Ability to learn and work with the specific needs of those residents suffering from Alzheimer's disease and/or other related dementias. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products. Supports hydration programs and good dining experience. Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents as described in the activity calendar.
