Direct Care Provider

Job Description:

Avail Health Behavioral & Solutions is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Care Providers (DCPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs in a home and community-based setting. As a Direct Care Provider, you will play a critical role in assisting clients with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. This position requires patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide both physical and emotional support tailored to each individual's needs. DCPs are expected to follow individualized support plans, ensure a safe and structured environment, and actively engage clients in meaningful daily activities that enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Support meal planning, preparation, and monitoring of dietary needs Provide medication reminders and assist with self-administration (per guidelines) Implement and follow individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and daily activities accurately and timely Transport clients to medical appointments, community outings, and errands as needed Promote independence, social skills, and community integration Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment Respond appropriately to behavioral or medical emergencies following company protocols

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required Experience in caregiving, direct support, behavioral health, CNA, or related field preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a Level II background screening CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Join Avail Health & Behavioral Solutions?
