Job Description

Job Title:
CNA/HHA/Aide Reports To:

Non-Exempt Summary:
Responsible for the day to day care of residents, which includes ADL's, escorting to and from meals and activities. Also maintaining Providence Living grooming standards as outlined in in the employee handbook, including, but not limited to body piercings and tattoos. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides care and assistance with the functions of daily living, including but not limited to dressing, bathing, walking, and feeding. Maintains residents' health records and resident charts by timely documenting any changes in health, incidents, and observation of unusual occurrences. Responds quickly to emergencies and follows Providence Living guidelines for reporting events. Helps residents with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking. Measures and records residents' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Wears appropriate PPE throughout shift as regulated by CDC and local regulatory guidelines. Adheres to an updated state or federal regulations, including but not limited to COVID and other infectious virus and disease procedures. Completes all require training and in-service recertification. Safety is an important part of the Providence Living culture, as such, all policies and procedures for workplace safety must be observed while on property. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ALIS-electronic medical charting.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Home Health Aide Certificate.
Specialized Training:
CNA HHA Certificates and Licenses:
CPR certified First-Aid certified
