Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Assists residents in maintaining their highest level of functional independence treating all residents with dignity and respect. Assists residents with activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, oral hygiene, continence management, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, and eating. Develops meaningful relationships with residents. Engages residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities. Encourages residents to participate in Joyful Moments activities. Assists with light housekeeping and meal service. Assists with medication administration and assistance and follows all regulations and protocols. Notifies Director of Wellness of any changes in residents condition, behavioral changes, increased care needs, injuries, skin breakdown or any other changes. Responds to resident pendant calls promptly. Practices superior standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health. Current and valid Medication Aide/Technician Certification preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English. Successfully complete training as required and in accordance with state regulations. Experience preferred. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law and Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) requirements.
