Job Description
Breakthroughs LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and friendly staff to provide companion and community-based services for multiple adults with developmental disabilities throughout the NPR area. Staff will work with various consumers based on scheduling needs, compatibility, and availability. Consumers enjoy activities such as shopping, community outings, recreational activities, dining out, walks, and social engagement within the community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing companionship, promoting independence, and supporting meaningful community involvement while maintaining a flexible schedule. Schedule Flexible scheduling available 15-25 hours per week Various weekday and weekend shifts available depending on consumer needs and staff availability Responsibilities Provide transportation to and from community activities and outings Support participation in recreational and social activities within the community Encourage independence while remaining available when support is needed Provide companionship and maintain a positive, professional environment Assist with community integration and engagement in preferred activities Complete documentation in accordance with APD guidelines and company policies Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability at all times Position Details Community-based support role focused primarily on companionship and supervision Consumers have varying personalities, interests, and support needs Minimal physical assistance required for most assignments Opportunity to work with multiple consumers and flexible schedules Supportive and rewarding work environment Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Current car insurance and vehicle registration High school diploma or GED CPR and First Aid certification Medication Validation certification Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening Required Train.org trainings must be completed prior to assignment Compassionate, dependable, and patient demeanor Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred, but not required Pay Starting at $17/hour No gas reimbursement provided
