Caregiver

Job Summary Looking for a compassionate, patient caregiver for a child with developmental and behavioral needs. The ideal candidate is experienced with autism, ADHD, communication delays, and anxiety, and can confidently manage occasional aggressive behaviors with calm, structured support.

Responsibilities include:

Providing attentive, one-on-one care and supervision Supporting communication and daily routines Using positive behavior strategies and de-escalation techniques Assisting with toileting needs, including nighttime support when needed Following established care plans and medication awareness This role is best suited for someone reliable, understanding, and committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where the child can thrive. Other Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient monitoring and report any changes in health or behavior to nursing staff. Support residents with mobility challenges through heavy lifting and safe transfer techniques. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to HIPAA regulations and resident rights. Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required by facility policies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of dementia care and memory care practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with physical mobility of clients. Strong understanding of patient monitoring techniques and caregiving best practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of resident information. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
