Job Description

Position Summary The Recruiter/Trainer is responsible for attracting, hiring, onboarding, and training high-quality caregivers to support the agency's commitment to exceptional client care. This position plays a critical role in maintaining caregiver staffing levels, ensuring compliance with state regulations and agency policies, and fostering employee engagement and retention. The Recruiter/Trainer serves as a key ambassador of the agency's culture by identifying qualified candidates, facilitating orientation and ongoing training, and supporting caregivers throughout their employment journey. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment & Hiring Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified caregivers, CNAs and HHAs. Post and manage job advertisements on recruitment platforms, social media, community job boards, and professional networks. Screen applications, review resumes, and conduct initial candidate interviews. Coordinate and schedule interview calendar. Verify employment history, references, certifications, and qualifications. Track applicant flow and maintain accurate recruiting records in the agency's systems. Attend job fairs, networking events, career days, and community outreach activities. Build relationships with local schools, training programs, workforce agencies, and community organizations. Maintain an active pipeline of qualified caregiver candidates. Onboarding & Compliance Coordinate all pre-employment requirements, including: Background screenings Reference checks Drug screenings (if applicable) License and certification verification Employment eligibility documentation Ensure completion of all hiring paperwork and personnel files. Maintain compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards. Monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, CPR cards, and required training. Training & Development Conduct New Hire Orientation and onboarding programs. Maintain training records and competency assessments. Employee Engagement & Retention Conduct caregiver check-ins during introductory and ongoing employment periods. Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate recruiting, onboarding, and training documentation. Prepare recruitment and retention reports. Monitor staffing needs and collaborate with scheduling personnel. Update training materials and orientation resources as needed. Assist with special projects and agency initiatives. Qualifications Education Associate's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Education, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience Minimum of 2 years of recruiting, staffing, training, or human resources experience. Home care, healthcare, senior care, staffing agency, or healthcare recruiting experience preferred. Experience conducting training presentations and group facilitation preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong interviewing and recruiting skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Ability to build relationships with candidates and employees. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment Office-based with periodic travel to community events and training locations.
