Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs and observing changes in condition; report findings to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA privacy standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers Maintain accurate care plans, documentation, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement Perform light cleaning duties to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients Collaborate with healthcare teams on patient care strategies, including dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities care plans Follow safety procedures including CPR and First Aid certifications to respond effectively during emergencies Qualifications Prior experience working in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Experience with Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, or hospice care is advantageous Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide direct support for individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in medication administration or nursing assistance is a plus Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude towards clients of all ages and backgrounds Join us in delivering exceptional personal support that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
