In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting seniors in assisted living or assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, your positive attitude and proactive approach will foster a nurturing environment where clients feel valued and empowered. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while contributing to a community that truly cares. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health management Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and maintain detailed medication records Support residents with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely and respectfully Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Engage clients in social activities, recreational programs, and meaningful interactions to enhance quality of life Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Requirements Prior experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or personal care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavior management techniques Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges using patience and empathy Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in medication administration is a plus Experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation purposes Valid driver's license for transportation duties or community outings is advantageous Strong communication skills combined with a genuine passion for caregiving and supporting others Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives respectful, attentive care.
