Job Description
Overview As a Resident Care Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will provide compassionate support and assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and safety in a nurturing environment. Your dedication to fostering meaningful relationships with residents and their families will create an atmosphere of trust and respect. Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve! What you'll do Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide compassionate care for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory care needs. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in residents' health to the nursing staff. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Support residents in social activities and engage them in meaningful conversations to promote emotional well-being. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the personal care home or assisted living environment. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist residents with mobility challenges. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and families to develop personalized care plans. Basic qualifications Experience in senior care or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with caregiving techniques for individuals with disabilities or special needs. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to support residents effectively. Preferred qualifications Previous experience working in nursing homes, retirement homes, group homes, or home care settings. First aid certification and training in CPR are advantageous. Strong communication skills and a passion for working with people.
