Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate individual to join our team as a Companion and Direct Care Worker. As a Companion, you will be responsible for escorting our residents to their medical appointments and leisure outings. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals withDEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.Duties:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship (accompanying clients on outings) and emotional support
- Administer medication
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Accompany individuals to appointments
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior
Requirements:
- Experience in care-giving, special needs, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge and certification of first aid/CPR
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care settings
- Familiarity with working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
