We are a licensed, behavior-focused group home serving adults 18+ (men and women). In this role, you won't just be providing care, you'll be an everyday anchor for the people we serve. As a Direct Care Professional, you will work directly with residents who have behavioral health needs, helping them build skills, maintain stability, and live with dignity and purpose. Duties Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while respecting individual preferences and promoting independence Implement behavior support plans consistently and professionally, using positive reinforcement and approved de-escalation techniques Monitor and document resident behaviors, mood changes, and progress accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols, maintaining thorough and timely documentation Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure resident health and stability Support residents during meal preparation and mealtimes, encouraging proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a clean, safe, and structured home environment that supports behavioral goals and meets infection control standards Transport residents to appointments or community activities as needed, ensuring safety at all times Collaborate with the clinical team, support coordinators, and family members to carry out individualized care and behavior support plans Model appropriate social skills, communication, and coping strategies in daily interactions with residents Experience (NOT required but great additions) Prior experience in a group home, behavioral health, or residential setting Demonstrated ability to support individuals with behavioral challenges, developmental disabilities, or mental health needs Familiarity with behavior support plans, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed care approaches is a plus Experience with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring is required Ability to document accurately and efficiently in EMR systems Valid driver's license preferred A calm, consistent, and professional demeanor — especially in challenging moments — is a must At Re-Nu Wellness Retreat, we believe our staff are just as important as the residents we serve.
