Personal Support Staff

Looking for a reliable, compassionate and experienced individuals to work with developmentally disabled adults in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area providing Personal Supports (assistance with daily living skills, meal preparation, community activities, attending medical appointments, working on goals) Opening 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7 am

• 7 pm. (Providing full supports: lifting, bathing, toileting, home maintenance. Must be able to lift 80 lbs.) Opening 2: Monday
• Wednesday and Saturday 8 am
• 12 pm (Providing full supports: assisting in transfers, bathing, meal preparation, laundry, home maintenance, taking client into the community for shopping and appointments) Opening 3: Thursday, Friday 8 am
• 12 pm and Sunday 8 am
• 1 pm.

(Providing full supports: assisting in transfers, bathing, meal preparation, laundry, home maintenance, taking client into the community for shopping and appointments) Opening 4: Mondays and Tuesdays for 5 hours each day. Verbal reminder to complete hygiene and clean home and community activities/companionship. Opening 5: Monday-Friday 9am-2pm. Verbal reminder to complete hygiene, personal care and clean home. Community activities/companionship, medication administration, interaction, and preparing lunch.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED One (1) year work experience with DD, elderly or children Valid Driver's License Level 2 (DCF/APD) background screening (completed in our office) Must be reliable Own reliable transportation Must be able to lift 80 lbs

Responsibilities:

Assistance maintaining health and safety Assistance maintaining clean living environment Companionship, interaction, community activities Lifting/transferring safely Due to the nature of services we provide, all level two background screenings are filtered through DCF then APD to determine if an individual's criminal history (if there is one) makes them ineligible to work with a vulnerable population per state of Florida statues.
