In this role, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in home and community care, assisted living, or long-term care settings, along with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized support and caregiving. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Ensure safety by performing patient observation and monitoring for any changes in condition Utilize proper techniques for patient handling, including the use of Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks Document care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR when necessary Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and community involvement Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care Experience Candidates should possess relevant experience such as group home work, assisted living or nursing home experience, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Prior exposure to dementia or Alzheimer's care, memory care units, hospice or home health environments is highly valued. Skills in patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response (CPR/First Aid) are essential. Experience working with special populations requiring specialized support such as heavy lifting (Hoyer lifts), resident transfers, or long-term care planning is preferred. A background in social work or home & community care will be considered advantageous. All applicants must demonstrate patience, compassion, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance.
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
