Bay County, Gulf County, Jackson County Join Our Caregiver Network Avail Health & Behavioral Solutions, LLC is seeking dependable, compassionate, and motivated Direct Care Providers to join our registry network as Independent Contractors. These caregivers will support our Central Panhandle Region and can choose to work within one or more of the following counties: Bay County, Gulf County, and/or Jackson County. In this role, you will provide hands-on support and coaching to individuals in home and community settings while demonstrating outstanding patience, strong communication skills, and a person-centered mindset. Specific needs and hours vary per client, but general services include activities of daily living (ADLs), community integration, goal achievement, and holistic wellness. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities and independent living skills including but not limited to: Meal Preparation Household Organization Hygiene Care (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting) Lifestyle Budgeting Grocery Shopping Goal Setting Provide medication reminders and assist with self-administration (per guidelines) Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities Encourage positive behaviors and reinforce person-centered goals Implement and follow individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies Maintain professional boundaries and respectful communication Complete accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and incident reports Ensure client safety following APD guidelines and agency protocols Communicate effectively with agency leadership, families, and support coordinators Promote client dignity, choice, and community involvement Utilize EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) for clock-in and clock-out procedures Respond to behavioral or medical emergencies following agency protocols (as needed) Qualifications High School Diploma or GED CPR/First Aid Certification (required within 30 days of onboarding) APD Direct Care Core Competencies (DCCC) Training Certificate (required within 30 days of onboarding) Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening Valid Florida driver's license Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs Proven track record providing one-on-one care in home or facility settings Demonstrated ability to manage client care and safety with limited supervision Reliable personal vehicle for professional use (gas/mileage not reimbursed) Personal smartphone required for app-based scheduling and client communication Strong communication and documentation skills CNA, BLS, HHA, or DSP certifications preferred (not required)
Schedule & Travel:
Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available Day/Afternoon/Evening/Weekend Shifts Shifts vary depending on client needs Must be willing to travel within selected county Specific hours and commute radius will be discussed before cases are accepted
Employment Terms Disclosure:
This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position, not a W-2 employment role. Contractors are strictly responsible for their own tax obligations (including self-employment taxes) and are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, health insurance, or paid time off.
