Caregiver for Seniors

Caregiver:

8 & 12 hour shifts available. We are a small 'family-feel' senior living community & we focus on teamwork.

Duties:

• Provide direct care & assistance to residents in a senior care facility, assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting & eating.
• Monitor & document residents' vital signs, symptoms, & behavior.
• Administer medications & treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Ensure the safety & well-being of residents by following established protocols and respecting resident rights & dignity.
• Assist with mobility & transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
• Provide emotional support & companionship to residents & participate in fun activities with residents, as led by Activities staff.

Skills & Experiences:

• Experience in caregiving or working in a nursing home or residential care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of systems & procedures related to resident care, familiarity with resident rights & regulations for long-term care facilities is a plus.
• Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with diverse needs & backgrounds.
• Proficiency in basic first aid techniques
• Knowledge of dementia care practices & behavior management strategies is preferred
• Strength & ability to lift/assist residents
