Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and changes in health status with attention to detail and accuracy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Observe patients closely for signs of health deterioration or behavioral changes, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer's care Follow established care plans and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, quality care Provide emotional support, companionship, and social engagement to promote mental well-being Adhere strictly to safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and other relevant certifications to respond effectively during emergencies Experience Prior experience in home health care or assisted living environments is highly preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is advantageous Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital sign measurement is essential Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident handling devices Familiarity with care plans, medication administration procedures, and HIPAA compliance standards Background in nursing home or group home settings adds valuable insight into long-term care practices Strong interpersonal skills gained through working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions Embark on a rewarding career where your compassion meets your skills!
