Required Job Description Are you a compassionate caregiver dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities? Our APD-regulated agency is seeking Certified Personal Supports and Companion Specialists to join our team in Seminole. We provide essential services that empower our clients to live safely and independently in their homes and communities. In this role, you aren't just a caregiver; you are a mentor, a supporter, and a vital part of our clients' daily success.
Key Responsibilities Personal Supports:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
Companionship:
Provide meaningful social interaction and support for community-based activities.
Skill Development:
Implement support plans designed to improve the client's independence and life skills.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, daily progress notes and incident reports in compliance with APD (Agency for Persons with Disabilities) standards.
Safety:
Ensure a safe environment and provide non-medical supervision as outlined in the client's support plan.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (required).
Certifications:
Active APD-required training (Direct Care Core Competencies, Zero Tolerance, and HIPAA).
Background Check:
Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening.
CPR/First Aid:
Valid certification required.
Reliability:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outings.
