In this energetic role, you will support residents in their daily routines, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life through attentive caregiving. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for those we serve. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills in long-term care, assisted living, and community support settings. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents during meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and shared spaces Drive residents to appointments or community activities when required, ensuring safety and adherence to transportation protocols Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans that meet each resident's unique needs Qualifications Prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavior management techniques Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or Hoyer lift training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous Ability to accurately take vital signs and follow detailed care instructions using EMR systems Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward residents' well-being Valid driver's license preferred for transportation duties; must be able to work flexible shifts including evenings or weekends Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives respectful, attentive care.
