Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Fiel Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their daily needs are met while promoting their independence and well-being. Individuals are high functioning and love to go out in the community. Salary Duties Assist with Scheduling Cover Shifts Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans Support residents during meals by preparing and serving nutritious food and assisting with feeding as needed Observe and document patient behavior, health status, and progress while adhering to HIPAA regulations Utilize proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and heavy lifting when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning and sanitation procedures Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Follow safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to ensure comprehensive support Requirements Prior experience in group home settings, assisted living, home health, hospice care, or long-term care preferred Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and care planning Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care Valid driver's license may be required for certain positions involving community-based services Join our team if you are passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives through dedicated caregiving and support.
