DSP Caregiving (Rockledge & Titusville)

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated DSP Caregivers to provide support and care to adults with disabilities in group homes or adult day training program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and clients by delivering personalized assistance, health monitoring, and emotional support. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including developmental or intellectual disabilities. Duties Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately following prescribed guidelines and maintain detailed documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Support residents by implementing personalized strategies to meet goals. Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper safety protocols are followed during transfers. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote emotional well-being. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment within personal care homes, group homes, or community settings. Drive residents when necessary for appointments or outings, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Collaborate with team members, social workers, and healthcare providers to develop comprehensive care plans focused on resident needs. Qualifications Prior experience caregiving in nursing homes, group homes, or personal care homes is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is required within 90 days of employment. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and vital sign monitoring techniques. Training within 90 days of employment. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral management needs. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting with or without support devices. Strong communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and a respectful approach to caregiving. Valid driver's license and clean driving record for transportation duties are advantageous. Those with CNA certification would be provided an increase in pay.

Pay:

$15.00 per hour
