Caregiver

Direct Support Professional We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide assistance to an APD consumers. This role involves delivering personalized care in home and community settings, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and companionship, disability support, or healthcare environments, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and adherence to privacy standards. Vero Beach Schedule:

Wednesday through Friday 6PM to 9

PM:

Saturday 8AM-12 PM, 6 PM to 9PM. Sunday 8AM to 12 PM (1 Caregiver)

Vero Beach Schedule:

6pm to 6AM. M-Thursday (1 Caregiver)

Palm Bay Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 7 PM. (1 caregiver) Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Help consumer stay on task and follow daily routines Create and maintain simple calendars and schedules Support clients with cognitive impairments through specialized techniques Provide companionship and engage in appropriate activities Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitation Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities when necessary Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid protocols to respond effectively in emergencies Requirements Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is required (1 year) Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards is essential Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly required Experience working with seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is preferred Strong observational skills for consumer monitoring and recognizing health changes Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients and their families Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols Valid driver's license, car insurance and own transportation is required for transportation duties Must have professional liability prior to starting Must have High School Diploma/GED or college transcripts (will be required to show proof) This role provides an enriching opportunity for caregivers committed to improving quality of life through dedicated personal support.
