Role:

A caring family in Wesley Chapel is seeking a dependable and experienced caregiver to provide 6 hours per day of support services for a female client with developmental disabilities . The client is verbal and ambulatory—she's generally pleasant and happy but has behavioral outbursts that can be violent. The caregiver must have privous experience dealing with clients that have behaviors. The caregivers will work collaboratively with the family to ensure continuous, quality care through a structured schedule that covers all 6 daily hours.

Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation Offer companionship and ensure client safety and engagement throughout the day Support community outings and encourage participation in recreational activities Accompany the client and parents to doctor or therapy appointments as needed Maintain a calm, safe environment and use redirection techniques to manage behavioral episodes Assist with light housekeeping tasks and help maintain household organization related to the client's care

Requirements:

Experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges is required Must be patient, observant, and able to respond calmly to behavioral outbursts Level 2 background screening required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Dependable and consistent with excellent communication skills Ability to work cooperatively with family and co-staff to maintain a consistent care schedule
