Part-time Job Description:
Direct care staff will be responsible for taking care of youth age 12-17 in our residential facility. These youth have been removed from their home. You are responsible for implementing residents activities, following the daily schedule and providing transportation when needed. You must be able to model what a structured but compassionate parent should look like, along with being a life-skills teacher and a role model for the residents to look up to. Responsibilities of the Direct support professional: Ability to demonstrate advanced leadership skills in working with children and coworkers. Reading, writing, and carrying out directions Promotes the development of life and academic skills to all youth in the home. Be responsible for timely and accurate communication within program (e.g. incident reports, verbal reports, shift documentation). Provides a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment for youth. Administering medication Provides transportation for residents to legal and medical appointments, activity outings, etc. Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities Participate in 40 hours of in-service training annually and 21 in-service hours prior to working with the residents. Direct care worker available shifts are : Every Other Sa & Su 7am-7pm; Every Other Sa & Su 7pm-7am.Job Type:
