PCA/Caregiver

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those in senior care, assisted living, and long-term care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing personalized care while fostering a respectful and supportive atmosphere. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide medication administration as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules. Monitor and record vital signs to track clients' health status. Offer support for individuals with memory care needs, implementing strategies to enhance cognitive function. Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being. Skills Experience or training in memory care techniques is highly desirable. Proficient in medication administration and understanding of related protocols. Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in health status. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Familiarity with group home systems and practices is beneficial. Knowledge of assisted living environments and long-term care principles is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. First aid certification is an asset, ensuring readiness for emergency situations. This position requires a proactive approach, empathy, and the ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining the dignity of those we serve.
